Founder and Chief Dog Instructor, National Police K9 Unit (Bohol, Philippines)
Mario Silva is an internationally qualified Master Instructor with more than 35 years of experience training over 45,000 dogs. Since 1976, he has been under the tutelage of various instructors and training dogs as an amateur dog instructor. In 2001, he received his Diploma as a professional dog instructor in Obedience, Protection, and Detection from the famed Cane Utile Dog School in Portugal under the guidance of Celso Alves, a renowned Portugal Police K9 instructor. During this time he also recorded a 3 months TV series on Portugal's RTP-2 channel featuring Dog Psychology and Dog instruction of gun dogs.
Thereafter in 2012 he was awarded the Pet Dog Training Instructor (PDTI) certification from Harper Adam College in UK. In 2016, he founded a major police K9 unit in Bohol. Philippines and retained the role as Chief Dog Instructor. He has also been a judge for various and behavior competitions.
He specialize in training/treating dogs with behavior and psychological issues especially in aggressive dog breeds such as Rottweiler, Staff Bullterrier and Pitbull; basic and advanced obedience; search, track, and rescue dogs; guard dog training; guide dogs for the blind and agility training as well.
